Day #7 - Bulgan - Murun (Mongolia) 350Kms

Posted on 18th June, 2016

22/6/2016 - NEWS - The Boys enter Russia and find some WIFI !!

##################################################

Left our campsite and travelled on Tarmac roads for about 190km.
Stunning scenery and made good time towards our next campsite . Inevitably as has happened every day the road runs out and we now have yo travel another 60km along dirt tracks. The scenery progresses from stunning to amazing !
We arrive early at our campsite after two times sessions . No dramas and no repairs required to our car - great. Did the daily maintenance and had our Dinner in the dining tent . All good until we are advised bad weather is on the way and tomorrows planned route will be impassable . Been told to plan for a 9.30 start prior to which they will advise a plan for the day. Early night then and hope the tent doesn't blow away!

Beautiful setting for our tents by the river ! Let's hope it doesn't flood !

Another day another camp site and those red tents go up again !

Meal tent - an early finish so cups of tea and coffee all round

"Rallying in Mongolia is hard on bodies and hard on machinery, and even with the creature comforts afforded to us by the excellent Nomads team of cooks and bottle washers, the daily diet of dust and dirt is beginning to take its toll on some of the crews and their cars …. and we’re not even half way through this vast country" - Syd Stelvio ERF Website - see full report
